Body-Mind Centering

Practitioner

2nd Cycle : Certified Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering® (year 3 and 4) - CORE PROGRAM

532 hours of class spread on two years

This program is a continuation and builds on the foundations of the Somatic Movement Education program. It requires two additional years of study.
Besides courses that bring in new material - like Embriology, Immunesystem, Breathing & Vocalization, Subcellular and others - themes covered are: Deepening personal embodiment, achieving greater subtlety in touch and repatterning skills, addressing psychophysical aspects, assessing clients, learning therapeutic approaches and developing skills as a professional.
Further it is an important aspect of the Practitioner program to combine, layer and interweave the developmental material with the body systems and learn to use the material in a more complex and process oriented way.

Goals :

  • Gaining a deeper understanding of the body as a complex, multi-layered organism;

  • Exploring and practicing the complexity of the interrelationships between developmental and system approach to bodywork;

  • Understanding how the body is shaped by the way we think, feel and perceive and how the body and movement shape our feelings, perceptions and thinking;

  • Gaining a deeper understanding and practice of somatic repatterning through touch and movement facilitation;

  • Being able to use different pathways of expression for oneself, and using this richness in teaching and in sessions.
